December is one of the most attractive winter months. Starting from St. Nicholas day till Christmas and New Year's Eve , concerts and charity concerts are held, exhibitions are organised.
The sounds of " kolenda" echoes - caroling of the choir members can be heard through Dubrovnik streets.

Another traditon that is very much alive during the winter time is Carnival / January and February/ Specialy interested are the concerts and masked dances in the city's cafe restaurant and fort of Revelin.
The carnival processions along the main street is organized with critical references to current cultural and political life in the countrey and in the world.
St. Blaise's Feast is celebrated on the Feb 3rd each year, since 972, more than a tousend years and it is the most popular religious feast in Dubrovnik. People come to Dubrovnik from the whole of the surrounding area, dressed in picturesque national costumes, to take part in an impressive procession .
